The prehistoric landscape of what is now the valley of Las Vegas and the major part of southernmost Nevada were a virtual marsh of abundant water and vegetation. Above the course of the hundreds of thousands of years, the rivers which were present are descended in the ground, and the marsh moved back. The valley was transformed into a desiccated and arid landscape which only supported most robust of the animals and the factories.

In April 2001, our new office was established in Las Vegas, Nevada. This office, our sixth in the region, is located at Howard Hughes Center in the heart of the city 's business sector.
